Travel is our passion. We loved to travel before we had kids and having them hasn’t stopped us. If you are looking for family travel inspiration then you are in the right place.
We have visited over 30 countries (so far!) and 15 of them with the boys, blogging and Instagramming about it on our way.
Dubai is where we live and work so we have a lot of Dubai family travel inspiration here. As well as neighbouring Oman – the perfect place for adventure travel. Wales is our home and we are passionate about sharing its beauty as an often overlooked travel area of the UK.

Dubai
We have lived and worked in Dubai since 2016 and love living here with all the travel opportunities we have. It is a notoriously expensive place to travel to so we have covered a few articles with how to save money on a holiday here.

Oman
Oman is a beautiful country adjacent to the UAE that is packed full of mountains, wadis and outdoor activities. As well as a long coastline and islands which we love. There is enclave to the north of the UAE neighbouring Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah which is easy for a day trip or a weekend.

Thailand
Thailand is a country that we can’t stay away from. We have visited numerous times and still want to go back for more!
In July and August 2021 we had the most glorious 5 weeks experiencing a very quiet Phuket with hardly any tourists. We were able to see empty beaches, no crowds and connect with Thai people who were so happy to see tourists coming back.

Albania
A European hidden gem. A country that we discovered this summer 2022 and we fell in love with. Beautiful, clear turquoise sea, stunning beaches, green mountains, fresh food and the best bit – really cheap! We spent 10 days driving around the Albanian Riviera on the south coast and up to the mountains.

Turkey
We have visited Turkey a few times but most recently in July 2023. It is only a 4 hour flight from the UAE and the UK making it the perfect halfway destination. We spent time in Antalya, Turkey and share information from our trip here.
Azerbaijan
Baku, Azerbaijan is less than a 3 hour flight from UAE so makes the perfect, cheap, city break. Alongside the historical city of Baku, discover the mountain areas. A popular ski destination and a country we will definitely return to.

Greece
Greece has 227 inhabited islands and is a country we will always want to return to and explore.

Vietnam
In August 2018 we took our first backpacking trip as a family. Elis was 2 and Dylan 4, we travelled around Vietnam for 3 weeks by plane, train, bus and boat and had the most memorable experience. Read some of our experiences for a some Vietnamese family travel inspiration.
Singapore
Singapore was our first expat experience. We moved here in 2009 and spent a year working and travelling excessively in South East Asia. We have family still living there so still have connections with the city, it will always have a piece of our heart.
Sri Lanka
We have visited Sri Lanka numerous times and it was the first holiday we took Elis on when he was 3 months old. A wonderful, still relatively unspoilt country.
