Suluada Antalya, is also known as the Turkish Maldives for a very good reason! Are you looking for beautiful beaches and clear blue sea? Who isn’t, I know! Make sure to check out Suluada Antalya or the Turkish Maldives during your trip to Antalya, Turkey. You won’t be disappointed!
Where is Suluada Antalya?
Suluada is a Mediterranean island of Turkey. In Turkish, Suluada means ‘watery island’. It is on the western side of Antalya located around 7km from the coastline. The island of Suluada Antalya is only around 1200m long. Boats leave from Adrasan, Antalya.
How to get to Suluada?
As Suluada is an island, the only way to get to Suluada is by boat. Many boat trips leave daily from the coast of Adrasan. An organised boat trip should include an airport transfer. Bear in mind that if you are staying in the East of Antalya like Side or Belek the transfer to Adrasan can take a while! The transfer from Belek to Adrasan will be around 2 hours each way.
We were staying in Kemer, Antalya so the transfer was less but it still took around 40 minutes to arrive in Adrasan.
What do you do on a Suluada Antalya boat trip?
The itinerary for the Suluada Turkey boat trip seems to be pretty similar amongst the numerous boat companies. Firstly, you will be taken to Adrasan Bay which is on the west side of Antalya. You will disembark the boat, swim in the sea, snorkel and have some time on the beach.
After Adrasan beach the boat will cruise until you reach Suluada Antalya. Lunch will likely be served during the cruise to Suluada beach. A calm, quiet, sandy beach with small rocks and caves will greet you on Suluada beach.
A short cruise back to the mainland finishes off the trip with buses greeting you to return to your hotels.

Do you recommend a Boat Trip to Suluada Antalya?
Overall we had a great time. The boat wasn’t too crowded, the food was good and scenery incredible. Just be aware that during high season (July and August) there will be many excursions making their way to the popular Suluada Antalya. So, the beaches can get crowded. We got lucky in that our boat got there first so we had Suluada beach to ourselves for a while with only a handful of people.
Also, bear in mind the transfer time. It was fine for us as we were staying in Kemer but it could be longer depending on where you are staying in Antalya.
Can I stay at the Turkish Maldives?
No, Suluada is an uninhabited island so there is nowhere to stay directly on the island.
However, Adrasan is a stunning part of Antalya with a beautiful beach and there are many affordable hotel options here.
Some of the best hotels by the top reviews are:
Swiss Evinez Hotel – Adult Hotel with simple bungalow, beach front furnishings. Swimming pool and good food reviews too.
Racket House – A 2-bedroomed villa with a swimming pool, tennis court, playground and close to beaches. You will need a car.
Ada Adrasan Hotel – 1 minute walk from the beach but surrounded by mountains. A swimming pool and restaurant on site. Simple but comfortable bungalows.
