Phuket Westin Siray Bay is a private, cliffside, beach resort close to Phuket Town.
The Phuket Westin Siray Bay was our last hotel stay when in Phuket and Wow – what a resort! It is built into the cliff and faces the sea over to Cape Panwa with a private beach and infinity swimming pools.
The Room
During our stay at Phuket Westin Siray Bay we stayed in the new wing of the hotel. We had a 2-bedroom Sala Pool Apartment, which was simply incredible. The apartment had 2 ensuite bedrooms, a kitchen, dining area and living space. The living space opens out into the balcony with a swimming pool, outside seating and stairs up to a rooftop garden where the boys spent a lot of time playing football. There was so much space and it was ideal for all the home comforts and offering us a calm retreat at the end of the trip.
The Pools
We didn’t use the main pool all that often as we had our own private pool, but the pool at Phuket Westin Siray Bay was beautiful. It is a series of small pools and a larger infinity pool all overlooking the sea. There’s lots of shaded sun beds, steps for families with younger children and essentially, a swim-up pool bar.
There is another pool over near the beach club but unfortunately that area was closed when we were there.
The Restaurant
Only Seasonal Tastes main restaurant was open at Phuket Westin Siray Bay during our stay when the hotel opened after COVID. It is situated next to the pool and had the most amazing breakfast, we have never seen so much choice. Dylan and Elis being huge breakfast lovers dined out a treat, pancakes, waffles, fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon and a wide selection of juices. There was an egg special of the day on the egg station which was great to try different options.
The Phuket Westin Siray Bay has an Italian by the beach and a Thai restaurant as well as the pool bars. There is plenty of choice for the whole family here in the hotel.
The Kids Club
The kids club is conveniently right next to the pool which is ideal for dropping the kids off and spending some time chilling out reading, having a few drinks or relaxing. The gym is also really close by. They have lots of organised activities like arts and crafts and games. The kids club is full of plenty of toys and books and a TV. You can drop the kids off and sign them in so that they are supervised.
The Beach
To access the beach at Phuket Westin Siray Bay there is a little hill next to the Italian beach restaurant. The beach is a gorgeous little cove lined with coconut trees and plenty of sunbeds. Me and Elis enjoyed walking down here every morning after breakfast collecting shells and chasing crabs.
The Location
There isn’t a lot immediately around the hotel, I think there used to be a couple of smaller restaurants but these were not open in 2020. However, it is an ideal location for exploring the beautiful Phuket Town. Make sure to stop at the monkey spot on the way – you will see some statues of monkeys on the side of the road and a lady will sell bananas for 20baht to feed them, the boys loved it! We also visited Three Monkeys whilst we were here which was only about a 20minute drive each way.
We absolutely loved our stay in The Phuket Westin Siray Bay. The staff were amazing and so helpful and our room was probably the best we stayed in during our time in Phuket. It was so refreshing to have so much space for our family. A perfect family friendly hotel. An ideal location to get to most places on the island within a short time and we certainly enjoyed being back so close to Phuket Town which has so much to offer.
